LDL VS HDL

Cholesterol travels trough your body bloodstream attached to protein, in a combination called lipoprotein. Two lipoproteins are the main carries of Cholesterol, LDL -low density lipoprotein and HDL High-density lipoprotein. LDL is the bad one

Having a high LDL  is dangerous. This cholesterol can and will build up on the walls of the Artery.

HDL helps clear LDL from the body. That is why your doctor wants to see a low level of LDL in your body and a higher level of HDL.

Ask your doctor to test your cholesterol levels Its a very simple blood test.
Make sure your doctor explains the numbers ( your test readings to you)

A proper diet and exercise maybe all that you need. Eat less fat. Read packaging carefully try to avoid Trans fats. Many believe Omega three and fish oils are helpful.

Medication maybe required for those with high LDL. Medication works best with a proper diet and exercise
